"The Knight Center for Environment Journalism and MSU are the places where I was well prepared to become a professional journalist. The knowledge and experience I got while here will be one of the most shining treasuries in my life."

Most courses in the Knight Center were really -journalism-experience orientated. This is one of the reasons why I enjoyed my study there.

Attending the two annual conferences of the Society of Environmental Journalists with the Knight Center was also a life-enriching and rewarding experience. There are many other things which make the Knight Center unforgettable for me, such as the people there.

After graduation, I first worked as an English news writer for a foreign news agency in Beijing. In July 2007, I returned back to Guangzhou, where I am from, and become an editor of a leading news magazine in China; Nanfengchuang Magazine. This is a prestigious news publication in China which I had been hoping to work with since I was an undergraduate student.

What I learned from the Knight Center has prepared me for the future by giving me the right confidence and real journalistic skill to be more competent for this job.I have had and will have many "two-years". Among them, I believe the "two-years" in the Knight Center for Environmental Journalism and MSU was one of the turning-points in my life.
