Hannah Northey MA '07 currently works as an editor and reporter at Argus in Washington, D.C., an international, independent energy news reporting agency. Northey covers energy, emissions and environmental issues, including mountaintop removal, effects of climate change on the country's coal build and air pollution.

Previously she was the health and environment reporter at the Daily News-Record in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Situated in the heart of the Shenandaoh Valley, Northey wrote breaking news and feature articles on pollution issues and the health of surrounding national forests and the Shenandoah National Park. Northey also wrote in-depth stories on the fine balance between conservation and agriculture in the state's leading county for poultry and livestock production, ongoing fishkills and the fight to save the Shenandoah River.
