After graduating from the Knight Center in 2007, I traveled west. Soon
after, I landed at the Seattle Post-Intelligencer as a design editor. I
draw upon my experience at the Knight Center every single day - whether
I'm writing a tough headline or working fast under deadline.
What impresses me most about the Knight Center is that they understand
how important it is for journalists to be fluent in every medium. They
have experts in television, video, online, multi-media and print on
staff. Every professor is easy to work with and a great resource for
students.
I absolutely owe my professional success to the Knight Center. It was
through the center's staff members, courses and programs that I was able
to fine-tune my strengths and bolster my weaknesses in a caring
environment.
