Spring Arbor University in Spring Arbor, Mich., and Jackson Community College in Jackson, Mich.

"The Knight Center reconnected me with the world of journalism, and reconfirmed my belief that world-class environmental reporting can and will change the world."

Since graduating from the Knight Center, I have begun teaching journalism at Spring Arbor University and Jackson Community College.

We also welcomed our second son, Alastair, who arrived Feb. 4, 2006. He joins big brother, Elliott, who is 3 years old.
