Investigative Environmental Reporting
Journalists Can Do Science Too.
Students from the Knight Center's Investigative Environmental Reporting class ventured into the Red Cedar River on the campus of Michigan State University to study aquatic life and water quality. Equipped with waders, nets and buckets, aspiring journalists learned how to conduct their own research and investigate scientific data in writing stories about the environment.
