Knight Center graduate assistants

The Knight Center for Environmental Journalism employs graduate assistants whose duties include producing EJ Magazine, organizing the Meeman Archives and assisting with research, workshops and special projects. Meet the 2007-2008 staff:

Jessica Knoblauch

Jessica Knoblauch

Jessica is a second-year master’s student and EJ Magazine’s new editor. In 2005, Jessica received her bachelor’s degree in English from Northern Illinois University. After graduation, Jessica worked in public relations for a non-profit agency where she quickly realized she wasn’t quite ready to put her highlighters, notebooks and pens away for good. She stumbled upon MSU’s Knight Center for Environmental Journalism in early 2006 and immediately applied to the program. The rest is history. She is now the editor of EJ Magazine. E-mail her at knoblau7@msu.edu

Summi Gambhir

Summi Gambhir

Summi Gambhir, a master's student of journalism, is the design editor of EJ Magazine. She came from India last year where she did her undergraduate studies in design and worked with two of India's largest media houses, Hindustan Times and India Today. With a flair for aesthetics and good writing, she decided to make her benchmarks global. After graduating from MSU, she wants to work as a journalist in or around Connecticut as she will be settling there with her software engineer fiance. E-mail her at gambhirs@msu.edu.

Andrew Price

Andrew PriceAndrew Price is another 2nd year master's student, but a first year graduate assistant. He will be focusing on work with instructor Lou D'aria and on broadcast and documentary work. E-mail him at pricean1@msu.edu

Ian Walker

Ian WalkerWith virtually no experience in Journalism, Ian is something of an oddity at the Knight Center. He holds a BA from MSU, and is here working on his MA in Telecommunication, Information Studies and Media. Having worked in video production, music and radio, Ian's background in media brought him to the Knight Center to aid in Media Development for online courses. A lifelong resident of the Great Lakes Region, Ian is glad to be part of a program that takes such an interest in the greater good of our environment. E-mail him at walkeri1@msu.edu.
